Craft.do vs Trello: Education Discount Comparison

Evaluating document management and project tracking tools requires understanding their pricing, limits, and eligibility requirements. Here is how Craft.do and Trello compare for students and educators.

Perks and Storage Allocations

Craft.do provides a complete 1-year free education plan designed for heavy note-taking and document creation. The deal includes 250GB of cloud storage for attached media and files, plus 15 AI credits for text generation and summarization inside docs. You can apply for this deal via Craft.do directly using a valid institutional email.

Trello offers project management through Kanban boards under Atlassian. Their student offer provides a 14-day trial of paid features alongside up to 75% off regular subscription fees. You can view the full details on the Trello page.

Understanding Credit Usage and Expiration Rules

Both platforms handle account usage differently. Knowing how long your trial or free tier lasts helps prevent unexpected service disruptions or automatic credit card charges.

Craft.do Credit Limits and Storage Quotas

Craft.do provides access to its document features for a full 12 months. Your 250GB storage quota applies across all uploaded files, media, and attachments within your documents. Deleting old files frees up room, but going over the limit blocks new file uploads until space is cleared or a paid upgrade is added.

The 15 AI credits are allocated for actions like document generation, translation, or content summaries. These do not auto-renew monthly, so manage your credit usage wisely throughout the year.

• Duration: 1 year of continuous access from approval.
• Storage Cap: 250GB total across all document spaces.
• AI Actions: 15 credits one-time limit for writing features.

Trello Trial Mechanics and Billing Considerations

Trello's 14-day free trial gives access to advanced workspace features like timeline views, custom fields, and automated workflows. If you add payment details during signup, the trial will automatically transition into a paid subscription unless canceled before day 14.

The 75% student discount reduces the ongoing cost of paid plans once the trial ends. Maintaining this discount requires keeping an active educational email on your Atlassian account.

1. Trial Window: 14 days of full feature access.
2. Discount Application: Up to 75% off standard monthly or annual billing.
3. Cancellation: Cancel before day 14 to avoid charges while keeping access to the basic free tier.
