KREA.AI, INC. vs Sketch: Free Credits, Pricing & Eligibility Compared (2026)

Choosing between KREA.AI and Sketch depends on your project needs and academic status. KREA.AI gives daily AI generation credits and a 20% discount for general creators, while Sketch offers a completely free design workspace for verified students and educators.

KREA.AI vs Sketch: Free Credits and Pricing Comparison

Understanding the core differences in pricing structure helps you choose the right design tool for your setup. One relies on recurring AI usage allowances, while the other offers full software access based on academic status.

KREA.AI Free Daily Credits and 20% Discount

The deal from KREA.AI provides ongoing free daily credits to all standard users, paired with a 20% discount on paid plans. This gives creators, marketers, and indie developers access to real-time AI image and video generation tools without upfront cost.

Free daily credits replenish every 24 hours, meaning unused credits do not carry over to the next day. High-resolution renders, upscaling, and video generation use up daily credits faster than simple image previews.

• Daily Refresh: Free credits renew every 24 hours rather than monthly.
• Tiered Credit Usage: Complex tasks like video generation burn through daily allowances faster.
• Paid Upgrade Discount: Save 20% when moving from the free allowance to a paid subscription.

Sketch Free Academic License

The offer from Sketch targets students and teachers, giving 100% free access to its design suite. Unlike credit-based tools, this program provides standard platform functionality for the duration of your academic status.

Because this is an education license, there are no daily credit limits or image render caps. However, you must verify your academic status periodically to keep your account active.

Eligibility Rules and Account Requirements

Both platforms have distinct sign-up procedures and verification steps before granting access to their free perks.

KREA.AI Verification Process

Getting started with KREA.AI is simple and open to general users without requiring school credentials or company proof. You only need a standard account setup to start using the daily free credits.

To upgrade and use the 20% discount, apply the promotional offer at checkout when picking a paid plan.

1. Create a standard user account on KREA.AI.
2. Confirm your email address to unlock daily credit generation.
3. Apply the 20% discount code during checkout if upgrading to a paid tier.

Sketch Academic Verification

Sketch requires academic proof before unlocking free workspace access. You must show that you are currently enrolled in or working at an accredited educational institution.

Using a valid school email address speeds up the process, though additional documentation like student IDs or enrollment letters may be requested.

• Institutional Email: An .edu or recognized university email address is preferred.
• Proof of Status: Class schedules, enrollment letters, or faculty IDs may be required.
• Annual Re-verification: Education status must be re-confirmed periodically to keep free access.
